"This class has been the highlight of my week. Just love the way my baby visibly relaxes when i ask her if she wants a massage and then she spends the whole time looking at my face as i massage her. We feel so connected.
I found the class brilliantly informative and fun at the same time
I'm so glad that this support has been available to us"

International Association of Infant Massage is the world leader in Infant Massage
The purpose of the IAIM is to promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education and research so that parents and children are loved, valued and respected throughout the world community.
❤ The Original
The IAIM are the longest standing and only association dedicated solely to infant massage. We have a global presence in over 75 countries. We believe altering and certainly shortening our programming dilutes our offering and we even have the research to prove it! Parents and babies are at the heart of everything we do and we will never compromise on this. Our founder Vimala McClure helped to bring Infant Massage to the West and developed our wonderful programme. We do not only deliver strokes, we stand on a wealth of history, knowledge, research and experience. It's a comprehensive parenting programme.
💙 Extensive Training
Our CIMIS (Certified Infant Massage Instructors) are exactly that, certified. We have an extensive training programme consisting of 4 days training covering 15 core curriculum subjects as well as learning the strokes, which include teaching babies born prematurely and babies with additional needs. There is a theory and practical assignment including delivering the programme to parents before becoming fully qualified. Our training courses are widely endorsed by leading experts in infant development and we are accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. Additionally we run annual study days, course refreshers, continuing education and stroke reviews, provide newsletters and research updates, have representatives for each region and have an active online presence for promotion and support.
💛 Experienced Trainers
To keep Vimalas vision alive, our International Instructor Trainers undergo a detailed training process which takes a minimum of 2 years to complete, once they meet the experience criteria, as well as ongoing auditing. Our Trainers are passionate about nurturing touch and working towards our mission statement, and are leading in their knowledge of infant development, attachment, research and the benefits of Infant Massage, ensuring that they go on to train the best CIMIs in the business.
💚Time to grow
"I've learned to stop rushing things that need time to grow"
Infant Massage is so much more than delivering strokes. It's a language of its own. Our CIMIs learn the importance of a calm and relaxing environment and are not tempted to add any sensory extras - and that's for the best! CIMIs carefully facilitate the optimum environment and offer lengthy classes (usually between 1-2 hours, double the average baby class) to nurture their parents and to ensure babies don't feel rushed. Our classes run over 5 weeks and are completely baby-led. CIMIs facilitate classes without judgement, unsolicited advice or opinion, for parents to enjoy this precious time with their baby and get to know them through nurturing touch and education. We are not a therapy, we're a baby-led and cue based programme who believe that babies are our teachers and parents are the experts.
If you're looking for baby massage - choose the best. Don't settle for less. You're both worth it 💗 IAIM Baby Massage with Caroline at North Hertfordshire baby massage
Baby massage is a longstanding parenting tradition in many cultures, including Indian and African, and was introduced to the western world during the last 30 years, gaining in popularity in the UK since the late 1990’s.
Baby massage is when a parent or primary carer lovingly strokes or holds their baby. Using a high quality non-fragranced vegetable oil, soothing holds and rhythmic strokes are given on each area of baby’s body, following a sequence that has been developed over many years. The massage offers a wonderful experience and a special time to communicate both verbally and non-verbally with babies, so that they feel loved, valued and respected.
The IAIM baby massage course draws from both the Indian and Swedish massage traditions, as well as incorporating principles from yoga and reflexology.
